Riefian Fajarsyah, better known as Ifan Seventeen (his musical group was called Seventeeen, because at that age he created it with his friends), he just experienced an extraordinary event while performing the Umrah (pilgrimage) in the Holy Land.
The unforgettable experience was when Ifan became the Imam who led the prayer at the Ayesha Mosque in Mecca.
The artist shared the extraordinary experience with his fans through his personal Instagram: @ifanseventeen.
From the hotel Ifan and his brother-in-law (@luhurkusuma) departed, around 8:00 p.m., local time, hoping to arrive promptly at the mosque to perform Isha's prayer. However, due to the heavy traffic, they arrived at the mosque when the Imam announced that the congregational prayer was over. Ifan and his brother-in-law settled down in the back to start praying when an Arab arrived and joined. Ifan invited some of the Arabs who were congruding to lead, but instead the Arab asked Ifan who would be the Imam of the prayer, because they were only followers. Then Ifan ventured to direct Isha's prayer in the Ayesha Mosque.
"I started with Al-Fatihah, but as soon as I get to the" Amin ... "section, the vocalist said, his voice a little nervous, shocked, afraid of being wrong." Finally I say in my heart, continue with the Sura Al-Ikhlas (short lyrics to be sure), "confesses Seventeen's vocalist.
At the end of the prayer Ifan was surprised when he saw many pilgrims who participated as followers behind him.
"I was surprised to see that behind me there were 5 rows, an approximate number of 50 people," he said.
The artist admitted that it was the first time he became a prayer leader, an Imam, with such a large number of pilgrims, especially in the Holy Land and in the blessed month of Ramadan.án.
