After several days, specifically since Thursday of last week (May 9, 2019), the high levels of pollution in Mexico City do not subside.
According to the data presented by the Atmospheric Monitoring Directorate, with updated detail at 6 pm, Mexico City time, the air quality is bad, and due to this, in addition to the restrictions suggested to athletes and ordinary people, and the application of environmental contingency to motor vehicles, tomorrow, Thursday May 16, 2019, by decision of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), classes are suspended in all basic education schools (maternal or stays, kindergarten and elementary).
The SEP suggests:
- Refrain from physical activity and sports
- Eliminate any outdoor activity.
- Go to the doctor in case of presenting any discomfort.
- Avoid the use of contact lenses.
