An earthquake, with an apparent magnitude of 5,8 SR, shakes South Nias Regency, North Sumatra Province, on Sunday morning, 02 June 2019 at 10:03:09 local time.

According to information from the meteorological Agency, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG), the epicenter is located at 0.56 LU, 98.39 BT, 64 km southeast of South Nias with a depth of 42 Km.

Although earthquakes were not potentially tsunami, the quake shock was felt (MMI) II-III in South Nias, II-III in Gunung Sitoli, II in Padang Panjang, II Bukittinggi and II in West Pasaman.

Until the news is revealed there is no information about the real damage occurring around the earthquake affected areas.
