An earthquake with magnitude of 7.0, with the potential of a tsunami, shook the eastern part of Indonesia this Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 22:08:42, local time.
The epicenter was located 133 km southwest of Ternate, province of Northern Maluku, at coordinates 0.54 LU, 126.19 BT, with a depth of 36 km.
According to information from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the earthquake had the potential of a tsunami in the region of North Maluku, North Sulawesi and beyond.
At the time of this news, there is no information on the number of victims and damage caused by the earthquake.
