Considering the data collected by the monitoring during the last year, 2018, and so far from 2019, it has been calculated that 70% of the confirmed cases correspond to the states of Veracruz, Chiapas, Jalisco, Oaxaca and Quintana Roo. Although the registered cases have increased, from 3490 in 2018 to 11593 in 2019, deaths have not increased too much (from 22 to 28, per week) since the mortality indicator decreased from 1.34% in 2018 to 0.77 % in 2019.
