The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Mexico City held an Iftar together with several Indonesian citizens residing in Mexico City and its surroundings.
The Iftar event together took place on the first day of the month of Ramadan in Casa Cultura Building, and was attended by the Ambassador of Indonesia in Mexico, Cheppy T. Wartono.
Ambassador Cheppy commented that he hopes that Iftar and the joint rupture of fasting can be carried out every week, also inviting representatives of friendly countries.
Indonesian Food to Break the Fast
The meeting was attended with enthusiasm by the Indonesians who live in the country of the hat. In addition, there were Indonesian specialties, such as bakso (Indonesian meatballs) and rendang (Indonesian beef marinade), which were specially prepared to break the fast on May 6, 2019.
Praying Tarawih Together
After breaking the fast together, the event continued with evening prayers and Tarawih prayers in congregation. (Rini)
